Well last week I gained .2, and this week wasn't looking much better. I was trying really hard to only eat 20-25 of my weekly points. I had looked back at the previous weeks and saw that the weeks I used between 20-25 WP I lost the most weight. So this week I worked hard to make it right between those numbers. Things were going ok until it got cold. So I decided to make some potato soup. Oh it was so warm and yummy! That night I had a lot of points left so I decided to eat 2 bowls of soup. The next day was even colder so I decided to have 2 more bowls for supper. Of course the next day was freezing again and I said why not and had 2 more bowls for supper. There was just enough for one more bowl of soup when something dawned on me.... There were only 7 servings and not the 10 I had thought! I knew this was really going to mess up my points. I ran to the computer and plugged the new numbers in. Guess what? For every 2 bowls I ate, there were 2 more points. Not horrible but that added 6 more points to my weekly total!!
So the last two days I have had to work extra hard to be right on the dot for my daily points. I did it, but when I got on the scale this morning I did not have a good feeling. See last week I ate 34 of my weekly points and gained .2. This week I ate 32. Plus I was so busy this week I didn't get nearly as many AP as I had wanted to, but it was time to pay the piper. I took a deep breath (exhaled quickly because you know a deep breath can add 5 pounds to the scale) and stepped on. When I looked down and saw I had lost 2.2 pounds I didn't believe it. I thought I didn't step on right so I stepped back on (5 times) to make sure it was right. It was!!! I could not believe that I had lost over 2 pounds. I was getting so discouraged the last few days and I just don't think I could have taken a gain or small loss without getting really upset. This was just the boost I needed in order to get excited about the rest of my journey. Now I just have to figure out a reward for myself...
